Dr Peter Omenda

Dr Omenda is a Business leader and infrastructure development expert with over twenty six (26) years of experience in developing and implementing geothermal projects. He has wealth of experience in geothermal resources exploration, development and management with proven strategic management and organizational value driven leadership, quality management systems, research, evaluation, strategic planning and implementation. has held senior management positions in the geothermal industry in Kenya having served as geologist, senior geologist, Head of Research & Development, Chief Manager, General Manager/Deputy CEO and consultant geologist.  Previously worked for Kenya Power and Lighting Company as a geologist and Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen) as a senior geologist rising to the position of chief officer in-charge of geothermal research & development. He was instrumental in designing geothermal developments strategy. He holds PhD from University of Texas USA, MSc and BSc in Geology from University of Nairobi; MBA from JKUAT and Post Graduate diploma in Geothermal Energy Technology from University of Auckland, New Zealand. He will provide technical input in matters related to business leadership and executive hiring. He has served as panelist in various recruitment assignment with Maxworth as a business leadership and infrastructure development lead.
